Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Research Associate to support and lead evidence-based research projects that contribute to strategic decision-making, policy advocacy, and program development in the social impact sector. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in research methodologies, data analysis, report writing, and stakeholder engagement within social or development organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute research studies aligned with program goals and organizational objectives.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from primary and secondary sources.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, policy briefs, impact assessments, and white papers for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights into project planning and implementation.
- Engage with partner organizations, academic institutions, and government agencies for knowledge sharing and research partnerships.
- Monitor emerging trends, policies, and innovations in the social impact sector.
- Support proposal writing and donor reporting with evidence-based inputs and data-driven insights.
- Ensure ethical standards and data integrity in all research activities.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in research roles within NGOs, foundations, CSR initiatives, or think tanks.
- Experience in field research, stakeholder interviews, and participatory rural appraisal (PRA) methods is a plus.
- Prior work in sectors such as livelihoods, education, sustainability, health, or women empowerment.
Requirement
- Qualification: Master’s degree or higher in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, or related fields.
- Key Skills & Competencies:
1. Proficiency in research tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, NVivo, Power BI, etc.) and data visualization platforms.
2. Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
4. Familiarity with SDGs, government schemes, and social indicators. - Preferred Attributes:
1. Exposure to impact evaluation frameworks (e.g., Theory of Change, Log Frame, SROI).
2. Multilingual ability (including local languages) for regional research is an advantage. - Location: Bengaluru
