Agriculture Council
Vision Karnataka Foundation Agriculture Councils
This is where we sit down, grab a cup of coffee and dial in the details. Understanding the task at hand and ironing out the wrinkles is key. Now that we’ve aligned the details, it’s time to get things mapped out and organized. This part is really crucial in keeping the project in line to completion.
The VKF Agri Council is dedicated to transforming Karnataka’s agricultural landscape through focused cluster development and farmer-centric interventions. Its objective is to identify key agricultural regions based on specific commodities – such as tomatoes in Kolar, vegetables in Ramanagara, millets in Raichur, and paddy in Koppal – covering geographies from Bidar to Chamarajanagar. By onboarding 1,000–2,000 farmers per cluster and gathering real-time data over 6–12 months, the council aims to address region-specific challenges and promote sustainable, profitable farming.
The initiative connects local agri departments, private institutions, and stakeholders while employing local resources for outreach and engagement. VKF Agri Council has partnered with Bhoomee, a cloud-enabled digital platform with 1.6 lakh farmers onboarded across Karnataka, providing services and market linkages through rural employment models and successful farmer collection centers. Together, they aim to create replicable, scalable solutions that strengthen agricultural value chains and enhance farmers’ livelihoods.
