We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Analyst with a strong background in social impact initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience in research, monitoring & evaluation, and data analytics with a proven ability to translate insights into actionable program strategies. This role demands strong analytical skills, field research experience, and deep domain expertise in one or more social development sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead research studies, impact evaluations, needs assessments, and baseline/endline surveys for various social impact programs.
- Conduct both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
- Develop research tools (questionnaires, checklists, discussion guides) in alignment with program goals.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, policy briefs, and presentations based on research findings.
- Analyze social sector data to identify trends, patterns, and recommendations for program improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including program managers, field coordinators, partners, and external consultants.
- Contribute to proposal development and donor reporting with relevant research inputs and indicators.
- Stay updated with sectoral developments, innovations, and policies to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Present findings to stakeholders, donors, and leadership teams in an impactful and data-backed manner.
- Ensure all research activities comply with ethical and data protection standards.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in research, preferably with NGOs, think tanks, or development consultancies.
- Proven expertise in designing and executing large-scale studies (quantitative & qualitative).
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Skills & Competencies:
1. Strong domain knowledge in one or more sectors: Education, Livelihoods, Health, Environment, or Gender Equality.
2. Proficiency in tools such as SPSS, STATA, R, NVivo, or Power BI.
3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex data for diverse audiences.
4. Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
5. Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
6. Experience in policy research or advocacy will be an added advantage. - Desirable Traits:
