We are seeking a proactive and experienced Bank Relationship Officer with a strong background in the social impact or development sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and strengthening the organization’s relationship with banking and financial institutions, ensuring smooth transactions, compliance, and access to funding solutions. Deep knowledge of financial instruments relevant to NGOs, CSR initiatives, and government-funded projects is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage strong professional relationships with banks, NBFCs, and other financial institutions.
- Facilitate account opening, fund transfers, donor receipts, and CSR-related transactions.
- Monitor banking transactions, cash flow, and ensure timely reconciliation and reporting.
- Liaise with banks for credit facilities, overdrafts, and other financial instruments suitable for social sector funding.
- Coordinate with internal finance and project teams to ensure proper fund allocation and tracking.
- Stay updated on government schemes, development finance instruments, and CSR finance regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all banking norms, legal guidelines, and donor-specific financial requirements.
- Manage digital and online banking platforms efficiently.
- Negotiate terms for fund placements, deposits, and service charges with banking partners.
- Support fundraising teams with documentation and financial data required by banks or donors.
- Experience Required: 4 to 5 years, preferably in the social impact, NGO, CSR, or development finance sector.
- Strong understanding of CSR fund flow mechanisms, government grant systems, and donor banking requirements.
- Familiarity with FCRA and other statutory banking compliances (if applicable).
- Prior experience dealing with banks for NGO or social sector projects preferred.
- Knowledge of impact financing, blended finance, and microfinance will be an added advantage.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration. (Master’s preferred)
