This is where we sit down, grab a cup of coffee and dial in the details. Understanding the task at hand and ironing out the wrinkles is key. Now that we've aligned the details, it's time to get things mapped out and organized. This part is really crucial in keeping the project in line to completion.

Agri Council Scope

  • The objective of Agri Council is to Identify the geographical area of operation with respective to individual commodities.
  • Identify 15-20 such clusters specific to one or more commodity in each clusters.
  • Commodities like, Tomato in kolar, Vegetables in Ramanagara & Mandya, Millets from Raichur, Paddy from Koppal, Maize from Davangere.
  • The geography will be from Bidar to Chamarajanagar District.
  • On board 1000-2000 farmers who are growing similar commodities in that region
  • Gather data on a regular basis for 6-12 months based on the commodities
  • During this process identify and address the actual needs in that region to make farming of that particular commodity sustainable and profitable.

Agri Council Cluster Development

  • Identification of this region in relation to the commodity for project
  • Connecting all the local agri related departments and private institutions in that area for channelizing the resources
  • Hiring local people to on board farmers in that region to the project
  • Developing system to capture the real time data all through the crop cycle
  • Studying the current echo system with existing problems and evolving solutions along with the stake holders by continuously engaging them.
  • By end of the crop cycle we will have workable and implementable solution specific to that commodity in that region

Agri Council Platform for implementation

  • We have identified a partner who has already the necessary expertise in the field of cluster implementation. Bhoomee has agreed to partner for this program.
  • Bhoomee is a web enabled platform aims at bringing the entire Agri community of India under one platform to enhance visibility, connectivity and widen market opportunities.
  • Bhoomee is a web-enabled platform that is integrated with Cloud, Mobile and other digital technologies, takes information and engagement closer to the farmers transforming "Agri community". (Rural Employment is the Mantra)
  • The platform has already on boarded 1.6 Lakhs farmers across Karnataka and are providing various services using rural employment as the last mile connectivity. They have established few successful collection centres for farmers as of now.
